Designed by internationally renowned fashion designer and fine artist, Marisol Deluna, the Celebration 250 Scarf not only marks the year of this important milestone, but also tells the stories of the 50 states which comprise our union and are represented by symbols that border the scarf.
Symbols representing the original 13 colonies, the foundation of our nation, are positioned under the NSCDA plaque and serve as the base of the design. We continue to honor the founders of our country who risked their lives for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all — ideals which we continue to strive for, even today. The sides and top of the scarf are framed by symbols from the remaining 37 states and the District of Columbia. The symbol for Pennsylvania, the state where the NSCDA was founded, is centered in the bottom row, and the Colonial Lady, the Dames’ symbol, is included in several key spots around the scarf’s border.
The 42” square scarf is made of the highest grade of fine silk with hand-sewn rolled edges. The scarves are $250.00 each (tax and shipping included) with $100.00 of each purchase donated to the NSCDA.
